Paragliding Above the Budva Riviera

There is a launch ridge above Brajići, twenty minutes inland from Budva, that catches the afternoon thermal off the Adriatic almost every day from May to October. From it, a tandem paragliding flight runs roughly thirty to forty minutes, drifts the length of the Riviera, and lands on the beach at Bečići.

The launch

We meet you at the hotel at 4 pm — the air is calmest in late afternoon. The drive up the switchbacks takes twenty-five minutes. At the top you are clipped into a harness, the pilot opens the wing, and you run three steps. The ground drops away and the Adriatic appears below.

What you actually see

First Sveti Stefan, the pink-stone island village, almost directly underneath. Then the coast unfurls north toward the old town of Budva, with the Lovćen massif rising sharply behind. On a clear day the pilot will turn you toward Albania to the south — a thin grey line on the horizon.

Is it safe?

Our partner pilots fly tandem commercially year-round and hold IPPI Stage 5 certification. The wing is rated for two and inspected every spring. If conditions are wrong on the day we booked, we move the flight — we never push a marginal window for the sake of the schedule.
